Frequently Asked Questions

Am I fit enough for Xtreme Boot Camps?

Absolutely, we cater for all fitness abilities. On every boot camp we have clients who have not done any exercise in decades and also clients who are very fit and experienced. You will never be made to feel like you are a chore or a burden to the group. We make adjustments for everyone, so they can get the most out of their bootcamp. You will be amazed at how supportive everyone is!

I cannot swim, is this a problem?

Not at all. There is always an alternative session to swimming if you wish to not take part. However, if you feel you want to give it a go, and you are a novice or want to learn, James and the team will support you every step of the way.  We will never force you to do something you do not want to do.

Where will I be staying?

Our UK based camps are based in the beautiful Stratford upon Avon all with luxury accommodation. Private rooms are always available and we have the option of shared twin/double or private.  All rooms are luxury and ensuite!

I am a vegan, what will I eat?

We will not ask any client to change their eating preferences or cultural approach to food. If you are vegan, we will cater for you! Our award-winning chefs are highly qualified and experienced in dealing with all allergies, cultures and preferences.

Are the training team scary?

James and the team are some of the most approachable PTs in the industry. Not only will they get most out of you, you will find you build fantastic friendships with them. There is a lot of banter and a great sense of humour at camp as well as hard work!

Can I book for a friend/partner?

Of course, just let us know when booking!

What happens if I am injured?

We are used to training clients who are overcoming injuries, conditions and illnesses so are very experienced with working with injuries. We will always make adjustments to cater for all injuries. Also, we may require a doctors note if you think your injury will require adjustment of the program. However, freak accidents can happen prior to coming to camp, so we always recommend everyone has travel insurance.

Will I be shouted at?

Absolutely not! James and the team are outrageously passionate about fitness and health! Our objective is for every client to fall in love, or fall even more in love, with fitness and health. Shouting does not achieve that! The team have the perfect balance of being able to push clients and also support them.

I eat Halal, is this going to be a problem?

No problem at all! You will eat Halal here!

I am scared of heights, do I have to climb?

Of course not! There is always an alternative session!

Can I add extra weeks on to my camp when I am there?

Of course, yes you can. However, the majority of our camps sell out so there’s a high chance the following week you wanted to add will be sold out by the time you arrive here. If this is something you are considering, let us know, so we can keep you updated on availability. We are very transparent and honest with all our clients.

How many people will I be training with?

A typical bootcamp will be around 16 – 20 people

Am I too old for bootcamp?

Not at all, we regularly train clients well in to their 60s. We will always adjust the program to all clients.

What time will I be getting up in the morning?

On a typical day we will start training at 6am.

How long do most people book on for?

The most popular bookings are for 1 or 2 weeks boot camps. The second most popular booking is the 12-month transformation package and then our 3-week boot camps.

Can I put down a deposit?

If the bootcamp is more than 4 weeks away, you can put down a £200 deposit (per week) for weekly camps. This is popular and recommended if you are looking at summer camps as these sell out quickly. The deposit is non-refundable, and the final balance is due 4 weeks before camp. Please get in touch if you wanted to secure your camp with a deposit.

What do I need to bring to bootcamp?

Once you have made your booking you will be sent a full kit list. If you do regular exercise, you will more than likely have everything on the kit list. We also have a mini shop at camp if you are short of anything.

What happens if I get injured at bootcamp?

Due to the structure of the program and our rest and recovery sessions it is rare to get an injury, but they can happen. If you are unfortunate to get an injury, we will immediately assess and start the rehab process to get you back on your feet as quick as possible.

Can I have my own room?

Yes you can subject to availability.  Some of our weeks are single rooms only so there is no extra charge, you can see those on the booking page. In all other cases, your own room is £200 extra for 1 week boot camp, £300 extra for 2 week boot camps or £400 for 3 week boot camps. Your own en-suite single room is an additional £100 per week. You can not book private rooms online, so please get in touch to check availability and book.

What if I can't do some exercises?

There will always be an alternate to every exercise at camp, we will adjust all workouts and exercises to you!

Will I go hungry?

Not at Xtreme! We pride ourselves on our food and how we feed our clients. We need you to have the fuel to participate in our amazing program. If you are hungry or constantly craving food this is not following our value of helping clients fall in love food and exercise.

Are there washing facilities?

Yes, you will be able to do your laundry at camp.

Will I be woken up in the night?

Not at all. Rest, recovery and relaxation is a huge part of bootcamp, and we let clients get their much-needed rest. You will not be woken by any of the team at night unless there is an emergency

Will I be running through swamps and mud?

No, this is something we stopped back in 2016. We give clients an opportunity to dip and jump into a lake on the hike as it aids recovery and is good fun, but it is not compulsory and any client can choose to opt out.

I have not trained in years, is this going to be a problem?

Absolutely not! So many clients come to us for that exact reason, so you can rest assured you will be training with other like-minded people. Even though we have a huge variety of fitness abilities, everything is catered for the individual.

Can I stay longer than 2 or 3 weeks?

Not at Xtreme Bootcamps. It goes against our values and ethos. No matter which bootcamp or retreat you choose the body and mind needs to recover, and we don’t want any clients paying unnecessary prices and wasting their time and energy. You will be amazed at how much is achieved with us in such a short period of time. If you feel you need more support over a longer period of time, our 12-month transformation program has unparalleled results mentally and physically.

Can I contact you?

We are always here to help, and all messages come directly through to owner and lead instructor James. You can use the WhatsApp tab on this page or our contact form here

How much weight loss can I expect?

The golden question! We never lie to any clients. It is completely dependent on each client but expect between 2-8lbs a week. It does not matter what camp you choose the number is not an accurate reflection as your body needs to go for a re-feed at the end of any camp. What we promise though, is that our methods, style and education will teach and show you how to lose weight successfully, sustainably and enjoyably. Our approach to fitness and weight loss is not like other camps who focus on losing as much as possible to achieve high numbers for their clients to then go back to square one, and that is why we are hugely popular!
